Bodyguard

Growing up a lowborn Damien experienced a harsher life in Ishgard. In his teenage years he spent his time as a bartender seeing more than his share of corruption in within the city, eventually it became too much and he decided to become a bodyguard so that he could protect others who couldn't protect themselves. With Ishgard joining the Alliance of Eorzea he now has a whole new world to explore and people to hire him for protection.

Investigator

Damien is currently a member of The Gazing Eye, an organization that looks into and hunts voidsent across the realm. When he isn't in Ishgard he is at headquarters of The Gazing Eye looking into cases and reports of potential voidsent encounters so he can go investigate and kill any denizens of the Void he may encounter.

Has your character heard of any strange incidents in their area, know of any voidsent activity? Or need help dealing with such fiends? Damien will gladly help!

Nightkin

Damien recently learned he is a Nightkin, a dark curse that has passed down his family since one of his ancestors made a pact with the voidsent Antoinette and drank her blood. As a result he craves aether and must take it from others to replenish his own if his aether gets too low. Physically his appearance will change when this happens, or when he is actively "feeding", his hair and eyes turn blood red and his skin grows pale.

This aspect of Damien isn't openly known, so your character would have to find out this information, feel free to message me if this is something that interests you.
